Day 3

17 July, Friday

We arrived early as we wanted to start of the day without wasting any time
And for the more adventurous ones, being first in the queue

Back to Movie World once again
Which was not how I remembered it to be

They came up with several new rides
Not to my interest because Im a chicken! =x

I liked how this ride goes actually
But didnt have the guts to ride on it

And so the latest ride, Escape was great according to Mabel and Chee Kin

I guess its just me being too fussy :P

After that, we went over to this cafe to grab a burger

Sadly there was no real Yosemite Sam
and so poor Chee Kin had to take a picture with a fake one :P
In fact so many of my favourite characters were not available!!
I wanted Wild E Coyote and Tasmanian Devil =(

We then met CHEE HOU in Gold Coast!!

We actually bumped into him at the Stunt Show
As first I though it was Chee Hou's evil twin or something
Then I heard him 'giggle' and knew it was him for sure

We spend one hour waiting the the characters to come out
Literally chasing them to get shots!

No idea why we couldnt take a picture with Bugs Bunny for free
We had to pay if we wanted a picture with Bugs and Lola Bunny
Lola Bunny was walking so fast into the room
Oh well, she didnt looked very pretty
So no biggy

Had our last shot with Tweety Bird and decided to take a rest from all the chasing

They then had a parade which was not up to our expectation

After a tiring day, we had dinner nearby
Went back for the rissotto as it was sooo good!
And then gelato!

Its banana! And In fact we ordered 2 banana flavour!!
That's how good it tasted

9:03 am - Gold Coast - Dreamworld

Day 2

16 July, Thursday

Dreamworld was just as how I remembered it to be

Except for the stalls
Surprisingly, there were only a hand full of them
Was expecting for more pretty little stalls =(

Never really a big fan of hotdogs
That's because there's always too much bread around
But I like the look of the stall =D

The theme parks only open at 10
which is pretty late because they close at 5
It would be a problem if the lines for rides were extremely long

And therefore, just as the hand touches 10
We went for our very first ride
Correction!
They went for their very first ride

At first I was really excited to hop onto The Claw
It seemed fun because it just twirls and swirls at a moderate height

But then I looked up and chicken out because
it WAS NOT at a reasonable height for me
Im not afraid of heights but am afraid of
having my heart in the clouds falling with such pressure
And therefore I enjoyed myself capturing them instead! =D

Poor Haan Hwei got freaked out of all rides after being
cheated by our very daring Mabel

Now this I was not afraid of because I remembered
going for it with my sister and daddy the last time
I think the maintenance of the place was poor
There was suppose to be a pool of water below us
with the sharks fin pointing to your nose as you fall
But all I could see was an empty dry pool with pipes and I don't recall the fin

Though Haan Hwei may be afraid of the rides
But she ain't afraid of the sharks!
Looks like a fashion hat on her don't you think?

Lucky I had the company of Haan Hwei and Yee Jiun
while the others go for the crazier rides

We had fun as well!
Taking pictures and of course

Going for rides that best suits us!

We visited some sharks

Tigers

SpongeBob Squarepants and Patrick!
Well, Im not a fan of them
But because I'm more of a fan of CATDOG
I bumped to them at CATDOG's front door
Ahh, I loved that house which reminded me so much of my sister
Unfortunately I couldn't take the house itself as they were there

So we went to the kiddy area

Lined up for rides just like the others

And of course had fun on our own!

At least I could bring Pixel, my camera along for the ride =D

After that we went for a tiger show

Took pictures with a fake tiger

But saw real
and I mean REAL tigers
They were resting in the shade
as the weather in Gold Coast was really hot
But a good weather for a holiday I'd say

Then it was show time for the tigers to do their thing

I was shocked to even be able to get this shot
because of the crowd and how tiny I was
I was literally placing my camera above a boys head and snapping what I can

The kitty also did some other jumps
Even after the show was over

The white one was really lazy
But smart!
Resting after having milk for some
simple tricks like standing on 2 legs

I love this tiger and never knew that
there were tigers with dark brown stripes
The colour looked really special and prettier than the picture itself

The girls got themselves a churros

Then the other girls got tempted by it

And so we ended up each having one as it was pretty good!

But churros ain't lunch

So we had ourselves some hotdogs!

The sausage looked faked and unappetizing because it was so red
But it tasted quite good, except that part of me feels there's always too much bread

Dreamworld was quite small
I actually remembered it to be bigger
And after many years, I expected a little more
But maybe it was just me
Being small makes the places seemed alot bigger

We went for the Tower of Terror!!
I was too scared to go when I was little
But now a little braver
I actually thought I would freak out when we are way up high in the sky
But my heart actually jumped just when the ride started!
It was at full speed instantly and I was indeed not at all ready
Was actually in the midst of asking Tsu Peng
"Where's the protection over the chest?"

Right after that, brave oh Mabel and Chee Kin
set on The Giant Drop!
One that I would never ever lay my butt on

38 floors up high was it?
It left them dangling up in the cloud
for about 50 seconds before they drop
The Tower of Terror was the ride beside it that
shoots you up and brings you down backwards
Which at least is alot more fun for me

Took some cute pictures after all the rides

With some smelly feet

Went for a relaxing ride

To get those tensions off

And more silly pictures

Now that Chee Kin is around

We'll get to see more silly pictures of HIM

And HER!

He thinks that he is as tall as that
But he really isn't =x

Mabel is like the lion in Care Bears called BraveHeart
Only she among all the girls would opt for the extreme rides

The sky is getting dark and it was almost time for them to close
So we hanged around at the Outback to see some animals
And cover the remaining parts of the park

This dingo is even better than American's Next Top Model
He keeps posing and posing for the camera
At first he was minding his business on the ground
And then he started hoping onto the car, giving me majestic!

As we approached the end of the road
We set on this car for fun and I ended up sitting at the back
as we were switching drivers throughout the ride
We were also the lucky last customers for the ride as it was about time to close

On our way out
There was a huge crocodile with a height of 2 tinylolas

A soft kangaroo of 1 Marion

And last but not least
A lizard that was 3/4 tinylola

Decided to head to Hooters for a HOT meal
after a tiring but fun day
Seems like it was really late
but infact it was only 6pm

So we had the whole restaurant to ourselves for a while

While waiting, we noticed people clapping and thought that
there was a special guest or party or something like that
So we started clapping along

Then came the food
Mabel and I had beef burger and Nachos

They had ribs

While the girls shared a burger and wraps

Ahh, I love this picture though it does not have the best lighting and colour
That's what food does!
Makes it lovable and happy

I also love curly fries!!

But most of all
I love love love love the apple crumble!!
Highly recommended by me as
The Best Apple Crumble
I've ever tasted in my life!
Everything about it is just SPOT ON
and it tasted superbly good even after a filling meal

As we were leaving, we decided to get a group picture with some hotties
They then started clapping loudly and it all made sense why they were clapping then

11:19 pm - Gold Coast - Surfers Paradise

Day 1

15 July, Wednesday

This would be my second time to Gold Coast
but I reckon it would be totally a different experience from back then

Moreover, my memory of Gold Coast is not very vivid
All I could remember was the CatDog house and WipeOut ride
and a picture of me with Tweety Bird looking alike because of the
ferocious wind that blow my hair all the way to the back till I looked bald just like Tweety

Excited as always in a 2 and a half hours journey
I couldn't sleep and so we just got hold of what was available
My 2 dear housemates gave me a mask each to protect me from swiney
So sweet! I hope I can scared those nasty germs away!!
Grrrrr!

But before we hopped onto the plane
We had to make sure our stomachs are filled with
an all time favourite breakfast from Hungry Jacks
Its the same set from what u can find in McD's
Only thing, their sausage and egg muffin and hash browns are way better!

And so we arrived just in time for lunch!
Had our luggage resting in the rooms
While we roam around to look for a decent place to eat

Couldn't resist such picture!
Would love to take more crazy pictures with it but
because there were many hungry stomachs
We had to run

We ended up at an Asian restaurant just to be safe and to save :P
The weather in Australia is just crazy!
The day would be so hot as
explained by the exposure of Mabel's and Chee Kin's sexy hands

And then so cold!
Explained why we are now sitting inside the restaurant :P
Chee Kin loves his chicken and that's why he is always having chicken

Im always longing for desserts
So I shared a bowl of wanton noodle with Mabel

Just after lunch we explored Surfers Paradise for a bit
and made some enquiry about tickets and recommended attractions

Hard Rock could be one of our dinner destinations
as it is only a stone's throw away from our hotel

It reminds me so much of my donkey sister
She loves the chocolate malt there more than her laptop
She might even exchange her laptop for a bottomless supply of chocolate malt :P

Surfers Paradise is indeed a lovely place
If only Adelaide was a quarter of this street

Very cheerful and bright street

Full of colours, interesting shops, restaurants and
trees that gives the holiday spirit

Also some funny looking statues for her to imitate ;)

And poor little crocodile that lost his tooth

That's just 9 of us for now
The other girls we very eager to do some shopping
and thus went elsewhere to have some adventure of their own

We all had our shoes on
So we lingered on the steps :P

And on the pavement too
After hesitating, we went back to change into slippers

And jumped right in
Haha I got my perfect models
They even have the same pose
What a natural!

Some pictures seemed wrong
Somehow, I looked like I stuffed a balloon under my shirt

While, from an angle
They looked like a bird
Standing on 2 legs with wings :P
Hehe

And for a moment, I thought we looked like sisters
Oh and I should mention that Im wearing a shirt
from my beloved sister for a birthday present!
She knows me well

This was just a random shot of an unknown person
I just liked that sassy cat and her curls
But most of all, the overall look of the shot

We hanged around for a while as I noticed people setting up stalls

The stars looked really pretty!
But not something I would buy
I wouldnt know where to hang them
Moreover, they would only look pretty in a bunch

Some owners gave me black faces because
I had a big black thing that snaps things around my neck
Almost about to slaughter me if I laid my hands on the silver button

While others lay out their art for me to show the world =D
This jelly like thing is cute
You can play around with it but just giving it a stretch or tear

There were other fancy things around
That I figured would be better off if I had a picture of them

Rather than to own one

The day seemed so short
Mainly because the sky gets dark quicker
and that we are on holiday

So we decided to have a bite at a nearby restaurant
Which smelt good and at a reasonable price
I had garlic prawn with rice

While Mable had her a chicken dish
which looked like a fish from this picture

And Haan Hwei with seafood pasta!
However, after tasting Yee Jiun's seafood risotto
She hurried to order it because it tasted so so so good!!
I have to admit it is the best risotto Ive tasted so far
And I would never order myself one because of many bad experiences
The greatness of it left us with no picture as we were too eager to dig in

3:49 pm - Seems like I've starved in Australia

10 December, Wednesday

Parents will always be parents
They fear that I have nothing good to eat in Australia
and as a result of that
we shall see what's going to slide through my slippery intestines!
Daddy looked moody and fierce to everyone
But he really isn't!

See what I mean?
Hehe

That's cause he cant wait to get his hand on the delicious prawns!!
Absolutely recommended from Tony Roma's
Lucky Cheryl's always around to help me capture pictures
because when I lay my hands on the camera
Im never satisfied with any shot =x

What's a meal without dessert? =D
Chocolate Avalenge is my favourite in Tony Roma's!
With one condition that the cake is hot, moist and soft!

Hanged out with Cheryl's friends, Fan and Chen for the night
We all loved Fan's dead milk t-shirt and insist for her to pose with it

Yeap, hanging out late at night
only to eat thin FRIES!
I only love thin ones like McD's
But Cheryl found crunchier-oilier fries
I was yummy.. but too oily for my liking =(

We played cards and then pictionary at Chen's place after our fries

11 December, Thursday

What did I tell you?
Right after digesting those fried oily fries
they made my stomach work even harder today!
First up, prawn mee from SS2 Ming Tien at 11am
because KTZ wasn't opened for breakfast
So we had to laze around else where

When KTZ was finally opened
Cheryl eagerly ordered her beloved porridge
But she was let down because the waiter said that we'd have to
wait for another 20 minutes as the porridge is not ready
And so we entertained ourselves while waiting

And because we had nothing to do but wait
We ordered more dishes to try

Cheryl: "Mom says they should give us free food
because Laura does a good job promoting for them"

Maybe I really am taking the right course.. Hehe

nag about health stuff

Well, as we all know
20 minutes will never be 20 minutes
in this case, it was 1 hour and 20 minutes
could it be that we heard it wrongly or
its just a way for them to keep their precious customer

The porridge was good, but not as good as Cheryl said it would be
The best I've tried so far is in Adelaide, East Taste!
Hopefully she would agree with me :P
It probably wasnt that good as well because they
made us wait for a total of 3 hours for a porridge!
Counting the time that we arrive at 11 and they were open but not ready to serve

More food and love are yet to come

1:31 am - Here we go again!

Im guessing that many would recognize this place called Full House
Cheryl decided to bring me here because
when poor Lola was stuck in Adelaide
she missed out on all the new places that
Cheryl has been going to behind her back :P

We also dragged Bianca along for lunch with the girls!
I love their menu!!
Cute cartoonie drawings that gave a cheerful and happy feeling

Didn't I tell you it made us cheerful?

That's Fan and Chen who are just as silly as Cheryl
They always laugh at me when I talk
Hmm... wonder why
But that's a good thing isn't it?
At least I made their day =D

Speaking of which, my beloved sister gave us a greater laugh
She came up with the "best question of the day"!
There was a dessert called "Endless-Luv" and
she asked the waiter "What's luv?"

The waiter was stunned for a moment
and only realised that it was the name of the tarts when she started pointing at it
Silly girl!

Hehe always embarrassing herself all the time
But that's why I love her because we are so alike :P

We love spiky animals

And soft fluffy bunnie!

And our one and only Bianc"i"?

Ummm ummm! It is one of my favourite ice coffee

Chen couldn't wait any longer to to slurp it

We lazed around and entertained ourselves all day
until it was time for dinner

Laura wanted to bring her pet along
And so she did!
We call him Funky Bird or Feng Tau Bird
because he has the softest hair that would
shake oh-so easily as though he was high on ecstasy

We headed to Eurodeli for dinner
The place gave me a Christmasy feeling

Daddy hugging Funky Bird!!
Hehe, I asking him to touch his hair
and kept telling him how soft he was
till he started to hug it :P

It was my Christmas present from them!!
Cheryl knew I love him the moment I laid my eyes and hands on him
Hehe.. whoops!

Cheryl tried to feed him bread
but he didn't want it

Because he was choosy and only wanted those in the basket!
Choosy bird!! Just like his owner =x

We ordered pork knuckles
Which was quite nice
Love pork knuckles because of the
crunchy skin and tender meat!

We also tried the pork chop
which was just okay I guess

Had sausages too, hoping it would be good for a German restaurant
So it was
It turned out that the cheese and the skinny one were good =D

Laura and funky were enjoying the meal!

After dinner, we decided to try their apple pie since it was recommended

But for RM16, I'd say that I could find better ones elsewhere though it was good
There were very little apple and it was really small and thin in size
Where's my generous amount of serving?

Hopefully they would prove to me
that it is a place worth going to the next time I return
Would love to try many other dishes though
